Anritsu Optical Spectrum Analyzer MS9720A

The MS9720A is an accurate optical spectrum analyzer from Anritsu. This model is capable of measuring high-performance WDM systems and is a cost-effective instrument. It offers the high ±20 pm wavelength accuracy and a built-in wavelength light source. This helps with delivering an accurate measurement of the wavelength. It offers the accuracy over a range of 1530 up to 1570 nm by calibration. It has the Cal key to offer an automatic calibration. This model also has a diffraction grating feature, which can analyze optical spectra from 1450 to 1650 nm band of WDM systems.

The Anritsu MS9720A offers a dynamic range of 58 dB at the wavelength of 1 nm from the peak. It has the dynamic range of 53 dB at the wavelength of 0.5 nm from the peak. This high dynamic range offers the testing power capabilities for evaluating the filters. It shows high power testing to measure the SNR of light sources in WDM systems. The MS9720A comes with a noise level of –87 dBm and aids in measuring optical leakage. It also has the capability of measuring the insertion loss of optical devices such as optical couplers. It uses a built-in SLD or external light source to measure the insertion loss of the device. The Anritsu MS9720A comes with the capability of displaying multiple traces. It splits the screen for this purpose and permits the user to view three traces simultaneously.  The Anritsu MS9720A network analyzer can also perform threshold and SMSR analysis.
