The TDS310 Digital Real-Time Oscilloscope created by Tektronix has two input channels, a bandwidth of 50 MHz, a maximum sample rate of 200 MS/s, a record length of 1,000 samples, and 8-bit vertical resolution. A beneficial feature of this oscilloscope is that the two channels can obtain waveforms at the same time. A complete suite of advanced functions is available on the TDS310, such as: AUTOSET, cursors, on-screen readout, and automatic measurements that are endlessly updated. This model is ideal for portable and benchtop lab applications and can clearly show and measure waveforms.

The Tektronix TDS310 comes with two standard accessory probes, which can be utilized to conduct test signals to the oscilloscope. To link a probe to the TDS310, attach the BNC end of the probe to the CH 1 or the CH 2 input. Make sure to twist the probe end clockwise until the BNC is completely locked. An easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI) and an accessible front-panel layout provide the best usability, which is standard in all models across this series. Other features such as edge triggering and basic video triggering ensure that the Tektronix TDS310 Oscilloscope can capture the waveforms that service technicians and designers desire to look at the most. There are also 21 automatic measurements available for use, along with four acquisition modes. These modes include: Envelope, Peak Detect, Average, and Sample. Vector Accumulate and Dot Accumulate display modes are available as well, which is yet another advantage over similar oscilloscopes in this price range.
