The Tektronix TDS540 Oscilloscope aids in debugging digital designs swiftly with its 10 triggering functions. These triggering functions include glitch, runt, pulse width, and four-input logic state and pattern. This oscilloscope has 25 automatic measurements available, which eradicate the necessity for division counting and manual cursor setup measurements.  There are icons in the measurement menu which specify the role of each measurement. Also, measurement gating provides the user the opportunity to choose a certain portion of a waveform for measurement. Live measurements ensure it is simple to watch the results of varying circuit conditions.

The Tektronix TDS540 Digitizing Oscilloscope has a TEKPROBE interface. The interface delivers versatile probing solutions, which include the P6205 high bandwidth active probe. When the TDS500 Series is used with this probe, adverse loading effects will decrease. The P6205 probe does not come as a standard accessory with the TDS540, but can be purchased separately. Another useful feature of the Tektronix TDS540 is the advanced signal processing. With this feature, waveform assessments can be prolonged with live FFT assessment, differentiation, and waveform integration.
