The Tektronix TDS644A Digitizing Oscilloscope is created to keep up with the constantly changing needs in digital design and debug, R&D, analog design and debug, manufacturing test, and telecommunication applications. The TDS644A has 25 automatic measurements, four channels, a 500 MHz bandwidth, a record length of 2,000 points, and a sample rate of 2 GS/s on every channel. This model also has complete GPIB programmability. A hardcopy output can be obtained with the GPIB, Centronics, or RS-232 ports. RS-232 and Centronics ports are standard on the TDS644A.

The Tektronix TDS644A is the only oscilloscope in the series with a 7 inch color display. The color display allows the user to differentiate between waveforms, their measurements, and related text. The Tektronix TDS644A Digitizing Oscilloscope has four complete vertical channels with calibrated scale factors from 1 mV to 10 V per division. All four channels may be acquired at the same time. As many as three math waveforms and four reference waveforms are also accessible to display simultaneously.

The advanced triggering capabilities on this oscilloscope include glitch, edge, and logic. With Option 5, video trigger is accessible as well. The video trigger modes are FlexFormat, NTSC, SECAM, HDTV, and PAL. The zoom feature enables waveforms to be extended, shortened, and positioned in horizontal and vertical axes. This feature also permits exact comparison and evaluation of fine waveform detail without interfering with continuous acquisitions. When the zoom feature is used with the Average or Hi-Res acquisition modes, Zoom delivers a vertical dynamic range of 1,000 divisions or 100 screens.
