The Tektronix TPS2024 Digital Storage Oscilloscope is ideal for several different applications, including: education, industrial power design, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance, automotive design and testing, and advanced electronics design, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance. This oscilloscope has a variety of useful features, such as backlit menu buttons, 11 imperative automatic waveform measurements, FFT analysis capability, and an optional power application software which provides the widest variety of power measurements at a low cost. The optional software contains the following power measurements: switching loss, phase angles, immediate power waveform analysis, harmonics analysis, waveform analysis, and di/dt and dv/dt cursors.

The TPS2024 Digital Storage Oscilloscope is equally suited for use on the bench or in the field. Battery power is a regular feature, which is useful while working in the field. The oscilloscope can be operated for up to eight hours continuously when two batteries are installed or for four hours with one battery pack. In addition, the batteries are hot swappable, which almost completely takes away the necessity of AC line power. Furthermore, this model only weighs eight pounds even with two batteries installed, ensuring that the user can handle carrying it around in the field with ease.

The Tektronix TPS2024 Digital Storage Oscilloscope has a front panel that will be familiar to many users. Each of the four channels has a designated set of scale and position controls. Measurement time can be minimized with helpful features such as autorange, autoset, and context-sensitive help. Moreover, the backlit menu buttons aid the user when they are working in numerous types of difficult conditions, including areas that are not well lit and direct sunlight.
