There is not any other type of digital storage oscilloscope that provides as much versatility and data transfer options for a similarly low cost. All PictBridge-compatible printers can be printed to directly via the USB device port. OpenChoice and NI SignalExpress PC software allow effortless connection to a PC. OpenChoice PC Communications Software allows the user to catch, store, and assess measurement data. Screen images and waveform results can be transferred into the stand-alone desktop application or straight into Microsoft Excel and Word. National Instruments SignalExpress Tektronix Edition Software gives the user advanced capabilities, such as remote oscilloscope control, advanced assessment, and live waveform assessment.

The Tektronix TDS1002B can be used in conjunction with the Tektronix AFG3000 Series arbitrary function generator. When these two are used together, they provide the two elements of a full measurement solution- acquisition and stimulus. This instrument will have the abilities of a function generator with the power of an arbitrary waveform generator, delivering the performance necessary to precisely confirm, verify, and characterize designs easily and competently.
